HoursReport is a tool for freelancers who bill by the hour and need a clear way to track time, manage clients and generate accurate billing data.

The client came with a few initial wireframes and extensive documentation. The project focused on structuring the product experience, defining clear workflows and translating complex information into a simple and usable interface.

Challenge

Tracking time, clients, billing status and reporting involves multiple layers of information that can quickly become overwhelming.

The challenge was to organize this complexity into a system that feels intuitive, reduces friction and allows users to quickly understand what has been logged, what is pending and what needs action.

Approach

UX-first wireframing
The project started with low-fidelity wireframes, focusing on structure, navigation and core workflows such as logging hours, filtering entries and managing clients.
Information clarity
Special attention was given to how data is grouped and presented, ensuring that users can quickly scan information and make decisions.
High-fidelity design
Once the structure was validated, the interface was developed into a clean and consistent visual system, with a focus on readability, hierarchy and ease of use.
