Workforce scheduling and HR platform

Plain is a SaaS platform that helps companies manage employee schedules, time tracking and absences. The product replaces manual planning with a system that supports scheduling, availability and team coordination.

We worked on the product from the early stages, designing the first version of the web app and the marketing website. The collaboration is ongoing. We are currently improving the product experience, building a design system and redesigning the website.

Challenge

The product needed to translate complex operational constraints into clear and usable interfaces. Managing schedules, availability, time-off requests and team coordination requires handling a large amount of data without overwhelming the user.

The challenge was to design a system that simplifies planning and decision-making while keeping the interface efficient and easy to understand.

Approach

The work has been developed across multiple phases of the product.

Initial product design
The first version of the web app was designed from scratch, defining core workflows such as scheduling, time tracking and absence management.
Website design
The marketing website was created to clearly communicate the product and its value to potential customers.
Ongoing product work
The project continues to evolve with ongoing improvements to the app. Current work includes building a design system to ensure consistency and redesigning the website.

Outcome

The result is a scalable SaaS product that supports complex scheduling workflows while maintaining clarity in the interface. The product continues to improve over time, with a stronger design foundation across both the app and the website.
